Dunwood Manor is renowned for the standard of nursing care practiced within the home.

An ongoing staff development and training provision ensure that our Residents are supported and cared for by a skilled and knowledgeable work force.

Lesley Graham - Matron
Lesley has been matron at Dunwood since April 2007. Lesley qualified as a registered nurse at Edinburgh’s Lothian College of Nursing in 1992 and has a wealth of experience working with the elderly and young physically disabled having worked in nursing homes since 1992 and as a Matron since 1997.

Lesley is a qualified Moving and Handling Trainer and has completed the Registered Managers Award and a Certificate in Dementia Care.

Alison Bruce - Director of Care
Having completed her training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, Alison then went to work for two years in Saudi Arabia. Upon her return to England she held a variety of nursing posts before being appointed Matron of New Forest Nursing Home.

In 1996 Sentinel took over the home and soon after Alison was appointed Director of Care for the Group. This involves a challenging but rewarding schedule of overseeing the day-to-day running of all the homes.

Recently Alison completed her FDSC in Care Home management at Bournemouth University.
